Today we will start off with HWYW. Then we will watch your American Revolution movies or Voice Threads, followed by the Voice Thread on the “Person You Want to Be.”

Things due this week:

“Three Words” for November is due on Thursday–”Three words for what you are thankful for.” You need to hand in a piece of paper with the three words and artwork or email your picture to me PBogush@wallingford.k12.ct.us These will be added to the other class we are working with in Bethany and will be made into a single video.

Blog entries due Saturday: Post two comments on one of the first five blogs in your class. The post that gets the most comments wins a prize ; )

Sapphire and Ruby — This is due by November 21, 2007. Leave a comment on Ben Wilkoff’s Discourse about Discourse blog. He asks a very interesting question that I think schools will not be able to ignore in the future. Copy his question and your comment and post it on your blog.

Emerald and Amethyst — Read this post and answer the author’s question at the end in a post on your blog.

Keep in mind the changes for your blogs in the second quarter:

  1. No spelling Mistakes
  2. Include a Hyperlink
  3. Plagiarism
  4. Add a copyright free image
  5. Select or add a Category for post
  6. Create a catchy/origional title
  7. All directions met
  8. Start thinking of a focus for fourth quarter

Have some extra time? Sing-along here!

What are the things that you think are so essential in the classroom that they can’t be outsourced to a virtual space?

or What can you do in a classroom face to face with a student or teacher that you can’t do over a computer.
